It was an absolutely marvelous event organized by Southern California Blades. The show was perfectly sized: not too small and not too big. We were fortunate enough to meet some famous custom knife makers as well as create connections with potential new dealers. I was surprised to see the knife collecting sphere operating at a healthy rate, even considering our less-than-ideal economic times. Overall people were super friendly and hearing constant positive feedback on our knives was music to our ears. Our very first award! Southern California blades was kind enough to award us with the Best Innovation trophy for this years show. The knife that won, at least in our eyes, definitely deserved it, at least for two reasons. Reason number one being the Russian military-grade carbon fiber on the handle. Reason number two is the blade. We forged a high-carbon piece along the Damascus blade’s edge to ensure maximum performance and edge-retention without sacrificing the beauty of our Damascus patterns.
